The good in this game far outweighs the bad. It makes for a fun few hours of play. Certainly worth renting, especially if you're a trivia buff.
The game's questions are divided up by continent, so if you know a lot about one particular area you can quickly beat the single player short, medium & long quizzes. Explorer Mode, which is a risk like game played with at least one other person is actually a lot of fun. If playing with a younger person (or someone dumber than you) you can give them up to 3 extra territories to start the game to help even the playing field. The whole family enjoyed playing this game. As someone else said, in 3-5 hours of play it's pretty easy to get 900 points added to your gamerscore.
Problems: There is no noticeable difference in difficulty between easy and hard modes. In Explorer Mode the puzzle battles are a bit of a pain and can be confusing (plus they defeat the knowledge aspect of to the game). For some reason the lenses on my Avatar's sunglasses were never rendered in the game (this was more odd than a problem). If you play through Explorer Mode, Quizzes, etc. a couple times earn Gamerscore, you will receive several repeated questions. When playing with a recovered Gamertag on our houses secondary console, 50 points were not added to my Gamerscore despite it showing I unlocked the achievement It still does not show up, so there's a discrepancy between points I've unlocked and my actual total Gamerscore. (This did not happen to any other players though, so it may be a freak thing.)
It's worth renting, but I wouldn't suggest playing with anyone under 12 or 13 years old. The question may be too hard for younger kids.
