The game offers these modes
-The Mugenjo (the tower)--this is the story mode where you spend time going from floor to floor fighting illusions and play some mini games.
-Heroes mode-- pick a team of three and battle with other teams
-VS CPU
-Wireless mode--you can join up to 16 players via ad hoc for wireless play, or you can use game share and play with another gamer who doesn't have the disc via game sharing mode.
-Ninja Road- unlock stuffs with the points you earned (like images.. )
-Naruto's house- view stuffs you unlock
-options-- from from easy to insane mode difficulty, and other stuffs..
about the game
the good
-the game offers interesting fighting, easy to execute attacks, and a nice fan service
-20 characters are playable
-worth a rental
the bad
-loading.. loading.. sometimes it take 5 seconds somtimes 15seconds (even longer during game sharing mode)--note--loading time is relatively longer on the original PSP (due to the lack of memory).. so use the PSP slim (if you have one)to lessen the loading time.
-no movies (not even one single anime clips..), limited character expressions
-story mode is a dungeon crawler type--going from floor to floor that look the same..
-limited mini games
-characters still limited to a few moves..
Gamesharing-- which allows you to play with another PSP gamer with only one copy of the game..
--when you select this mode-- it take about 50seconds - 1 minute and 30 seconds to transfer the date and start the fight..you can choose battle again to jump right back in after the battle or you can go out and choose a different character- but you have to wait about 30-45 seconds again (for data transfer) depending on which PSP version you have.
I tested the load time on both my PSPs.. when the loading is about 70% on my PSP slim.. it's only 50% on my original (fat) PSP.
This game worth a rental... but a purchase?? it's up to you..i have enough naruto games already..
