Horrible controls

First of all, I will say that the control scheme on this game makes no sense whatsoever. When you choose to use the wiimote only, the d-pad only works right sideways when you are actually battling. In all the menus, and EVEN the pause menu, suddenly you have to hold the wiimote right side up to use the d-pad properly. It doesn't help that the controls just don't make any sense. Add to that the instruction booklet giving falsefied information on what the controls are, and the inability to control much of anything about the controls. Plus, the button layout when you're using the nunchuk is not very comfortable at all. To do moves, you have to make use of a transition between the d-pad and the [A] button. Also, the [1} and [2] buttons do nothing. I wish that I could explain better in words how this is a problem, but the best way to figure it out is to try it for yourself.
Next, this game is not very visually appealing. This is coming from someone who does not have the component cable, so it may look better with component. Now, the next complaint is the same as the normal Naruto series, the voice acting is really bad. So, I really suggest to anyone who can't stand the Naruto US voice cast, to just import a japanese naruto game, because there is no JP VA choice in this game.
Lastly, the story is not that great either. The plot feels tacked on to the normal series' storyline.
All in all, if you are looking for a fun fighting game, I would skip this for the lackluster attempt at controls. And, if you're a big fan of Naruto, and willing to let a kink in the plot not bother you, then you will probably enjoy this game. But I really do recommend trying something else. There are plenty of great Naruto games out there.
