A lot of classic games here. Some stand the test of time better than others, but even if you only spent a half-hour on each one, you'd get many hours of entertainment out of the rental. You'll probably find one or two games that hook you, and keep you playing for many hours. (I was surprised to find myself playing Rolling Thunder for many hours.)
Better still are the "remakes." Four games (Galaga, Pac-Man, Rally-X, and Dig Dug) have flashy new versions. These versions are pretty fun. They are also a whole lot easier than the original versions -- you can expect to actually beat these remakes pretty quickly, but then you can play again to try to get a bigger score, if you care enough.
The multiplay is a bit disappointing. The games didn't really seem to keep our interest in multiplayer. This is really more of a disc for single play, on rainy days or long train rides.
Oh, and the "free game download" feature is a travesty. You can link to friends and send them demo versions of some of the games, but these demos are ridiculously crippled. You can't go past the first screen before the demo ends. I felt embarrassed giving a friend a copy of Pac Man, since he beat the level in less than a minute and then had to delete it. In short, you will never use this feature, so don't let it be a deciding factor.
