Ok, the only reason I rented this game is for creating plays for Madden 09. Granted, I should of read up more on this game but, I just seen 'CREATE PLAYS' and "IMPORT/EXPORT", I got a little bit excited to quick. It does allow for you to import them onto Madden 09, but it does not allow for you to bring your great creations online. This was the main reason for this game to be rented. Personally, I'm not one for just sitting there, pressing one button and have the computer do all the work. I need to be in the game, so to speak. So this game, from me, gets a 4, just because it destroyed my hopes and dreams of world domination pinky. It could be a good game for you if you like these type of role-playing games. But if you only want it for the create a play feature, be warned that you will have to start inviting your friends over more often to try on them.
This game feeds any need for the true NFL stat-head. There are plenty of options for micromanagement but the problem is in the sim engine. Unless you play the game play-by-play, you wont get a realistic experience. The passing game is broken with most QBs averaging below 50% passing and 8+ sacks commonplace regardless of offensive line capabilities. This is a game that needed a few more Q&A sessions before release. It's better than its predecessor but still has a few fixes before it's a "good game".
This game is much like the 08 version. The game play is very slow. Not too much action through out the entire game. Needs to be more hands on with maybe mini games in the game modes. The attributes do not change very much from year to year in the franchise mode. I was generous in giving this game a 4. Not a game I would recommend nor play again.
