Fun at first, then gets stale

I bought this game because I liked the way the graphics looked and the dynasty looked like it could be pretty sweet. On both of these counts March Madness does a pretty good job. The animations are a little stale and I've tried my hardest to get a closer view of the action, and the camera just doesn't adjust any closer.
The dynasty mode is nice, but when the novelty of how it is set up wears off, the actually mechanics behind everything is pretty much the same as any other dynasty mode. It's not bad, though, by any means.
The problem I have with this game is the actual gameplay and controls. The controls just aren't responsive enough, and the lack of icon passing really hurts the game. When you see a player open, and the circle is around that player, often times you press the pass button to get it to him and nothing happens. Moments later, your player passes to an altogether different player. This happens too many times and hurts the gameplay.
I really wanted to like this game, so much so that I bought it before receiving my Gamefly copy and now I am regretting it.
Don't get me wrong, it's not a bad game, and I've had some fun playing through a couple of dynasty years, but now it's just gotten old, because the gameplay just brings it down. I guess I'm just spoiled with the gameplay on NBA 2K7. This just doesn't measure up in that area. And in the long run, when you take in to account the animations, the graphics aren't that much better than NBA 2k7 anyway.
