Don't get me wrong, although NCAA 2010 is a decent game, it still doesn't quite compare to Madden of last year (and hopefully this year as well). While I haven't played an NCAA football game since 2007, I was actually surprised that even with NCAA 2010 I found myself bored with the presentation and competitiveness of the game. In defense of NCAA, the creators did an excellent job of adding in new and unique features such as the Road to Glory mode and even the Season Showdown Tournament. It is yet to be seen how the Season Showdown Tournament plays out, but the concept of awarding players points based on their strategy, sportsmanship, competitiveness, etc. is very interesting. Needless to say I still recommend that you give NCAA 2010 a shot as I have never been much of a college football fan and am completely understanding to the fact that others may find this game to be very enjoyable. As for me, I'll probably keep it for a few more weeks so that I have more personalized import draft classes for Madden!

With Madden 09 last year i expected NCAA to have a lot of the new things it had and some more new things. But this game has neither. Usually new EA Sports games have an intro video telling you about the new features and this game doesnt even have that. One new thing i found about this game is you can make the Offense and Deffense either Agressive, Balanced, or Conservative. Which you can change in the game if you have a time out. I noticed that there are mini games now, but i dont know if they were in the 09 edition or not. Thats about all i noticed that was different from last year. So if your stretched for money and you need a NCAA football game i suggest you just get the 09 edition rather than this more expensive and less changed copy.
