Why Even Bother?

NBA Live has been falling 2nd behind the 2k series on the current generation for sometime. However with the introduction to “The Next Generation” era there seemingly was a glance of hope, a since of possible redemption for the EA basketball sim. However I am sad to announce that though there are some graphical enhancements, this game simply doesn’t “Bring It”. Graphically some of the player faces are remarkable, and the coach models are the best in the business. The arenas graphically are good, but won’t blow you away with amazement. But with this being said there are also some things graphically that need to change. For one all the players seem skinny, and they all possess bird legs. For two when in a defensive stance the players look like they are auditioning for a role in Planet of the Apes utterly ridiculous. The player introductions are awesome but that’s about all the glamour you’re going to get from a presentation standpoint. The game play seems somewhat the same as the current gen games minus the superstar moves. No all-star weekend, no franchise wow. Basically they rushed this game to make the debut for the Xbox 360 and the game plays this way as well. In closing don’t even bother renting this game for god sakes please don’t buy it. Though it may possess the NBA players it doesn’t’ however have the Live experience.
