NBA 2K9 for the PS2 is weak at best. From my experience with the game, the graphics are very weak which draws heavily away from the overall experience of the game. The animations in the game are decent. However, they become extremely repetitive after a few hours of gameplay. The fluidity of motion that should be presented in a basketball game is just not there for this title and that makes for a very "stick figure" like feel. I will say however, that the most appealing aspect of the game would definitely have to be the street ball pickup games that you can play. These are very useful if you just want to clown around on the court, but if you're looking for a deeper experience, the PS2 version of this title comes up a little short. I would definitely recommend the XBOX 360 version of this title to all sports games lovers. Now that's an amazing game!
