Really Bad
Worst Game In The History Of Gaming

last game in series played-NBA 2K09 (lets face it sports game are barely worth $10 on release day)
i CANT say enough bad things about this game they obviously replaced the development team with one that dont know sht about basketball or game programming for that matter and scrapped the original project - this is made most apparent by the game giving you 3s with both feet well over the line and well after a foul whistle you can dribble, pull up, shoot and still get the points
i'll list some CONs
CONS:
buggiest controls ive ever seen in a game ever - block and steal do the same thing at least 30% of the time
YOU CANT PUT YOUR HAND IN A MANS CHEST AND PUSH HIM TO THE GROUND!! THATS A FOUL G0DDM!T
you could be open at the top of the key trying to take a open jump shot but for some reason holding the shoot button makes you dribble, hopstep into the defense, and attempt a layup
player movement are off 70% of the time making blocks/steal nearly impossible
to even have a chance to block you have to jump before they do alot of the time
if your man gets past you he'll get a wide open shot every time even if all 4 other players are 10 inches away from him
on defense teammates will leave their guy open to switch to your man making their guy your responsibility and when they make their WIDE OPEN shot on the other side of the court its your fault
game criticizes every little mistake you make and doesnt give you any grade boost for good plays half the time
the AI thought processes are reliable to a fault you can predict every move the computer will make before they even in bound the ball
the player stats are pointless - i geared up a mid/3pt shooter with all shooting stats (consistancy, off aware, off clutch, & shoot in traffic as well) above 85 - im shooting 17%
sometimes you'll get fouled shooting and the other team gets the ball - no free throws, no points, just a turnover
thats only a few in a LONG list

-all the amazing animations
-the updated rosters (like i even need it)

The My player mode in 2k12, you actually create your player and do the rookie challenge game, talk to teams that potentially would like to draft you, get drafted by a team and from there you play the games, but the part of it that I like best is the interaction your player has with the media and coaches. With My buzz you have three different categories to work on, my teammates, fans, and around the league popularity. As stated before; however, in a different review, unless you get picked by a bad team that doesn't have a dominate scorer, it will be frustrating at first not being able to determine the outcome of games with your player because you will be coming off the bench. But if you have a bad player either in front of you or you don't have a great team and you can score majority of the points, you will be promoted pretty quickly. I believe I had two or three 20+ point games and immediately was made the starter over Kyle Lowry, Gorin Dragic, and Earl Boykins with the Houston Rockets. The higher your overall gets the more teams are interested in trading to get you. The gameplay is also very nice, as I have gotten better as the PG of the rockets, I have turned into my teams leading scorer. But enough with how my player mode is going.
I'm a huge fan of the NCAAF series, but if the NBA2k series stays similar to this game, I will have a new series to be a huge fan of.
