Great game. It's not as free as it says when creating your own players, but the gameplay is solid and since I'm from Chicago, I like the fact that they use the Bulls as a beginning team for the created player. Not exactly a game to break your neck and buy though.
For some reason I keep expecting The Life to be like MLB's product The Show. I love The Show, it's the best game ever. I can control my player and my success is based on how I control my player.
The Life is nothing like The Show. Same boring interface as last years version. Same Quirky tasks. Same inability to change your players abilities. I knew I would have these problems so I didn't give it much thought, but some of the tasks are really hard. Like passing through a hoop is way harder than one would think. I stopped and returned the game after the Alley Oop Challenge. Please, I want to be out there playing, not practicing 20 alley oops, until I can connect on 16 of them.
I'll be fair. If you have only played NBA games then this isn't that bad of a game. However if you are a fair weather fan like me, this game won't live up to your expectations.
Hmmm, where to begin? Let's see, it appears that technology took a step backwards on this one. The graphics were horrible and showed no improvement from the last edition. The dunks lackluster to say the least and the auto slow motion took over the play disabling any control during that time. Take this one back to the drawing board guys, it's a flop.
