Not a simulation

I'm just going to list the bad things, because there was more of them than good things.
1) During a practice, if you want to make a change to the car, you have to save the "tune" every time you make a change to it. This is very time consuming and annoying.
2) You DO NOT control race starts/restarts. The computer controls your car until you're past the start finish line and up to speed. This completely takes out the aspect of trying to get a good jump, not spinning your tires, etc. Very "arcade-ish".
3) Like race starts, you also DO NOT control pit stops. Once you enter pit lane, the computer takes control of your car. You don't even get to leave your pit stall yourself. It would have been much more fun to have to pull into your pit stall and leave it yourself. (at least on the most expert mode)
4) If your used to the Forza racing game series, you will find the handling in this game very twitchy. Tire spin is also very unrealistic.
