NASCAR 08 for PlayStation 3 Reviews by Gamers

This Nascar is much different than the last few Nascar games in so many ways, first of all the graphics on the Ps3 makes the experience much more believable. The cockpit view which I found impossible to use in the old Nascar games is very realistic and very easy and my choice of veiws. The siaxis controller has the motion function that simulates a steering wheel with amazing ease and performance. The career mode is much more fun and overall game play is ten times what it was on ps2. The only thing I would change is the pit mode, Like the rest once you have crossed the pit line the computer takes over. It would be fun to control your car all the way through the stop. This game is one I plan to own. Two thunbs up.

First off the new drift behind the car in front of you aspect is not that great. They make it too much the thing you must do to get ahead. Don't get me wrong the graphics are ok and its a good game for the hard core fans of the series. But for a casual gamer that really doesn't like Nascar games and is new to the franchise I wouldn't recommend it. The online play is real laggy and is not really fun when your just going around circles and laps 10 - 100 times around with no change. The only thing I did like about the game is the difficulty leveling you can choose for the casual racer (like me) and the hardcore racer thats wants to customize every aspect of the car.

Like I said nice game for the hardcore fans but not for casual gamers that are new to the series.
