Myst DS is not a bad or very bad or horrible game, it's just unnecessary and weak.
For one thing it's a straight port from the PC version to the DS with some differences in the user interface and of course the use of the stylus instead on the mouse. Since it's a puzzle game, it has absolutely no replay value for those (I'm one of them) who played it on the PC, because if you have agonized the first time to solve the puzzles like I did, chances are you will still remember the solutions.
If you've never played Myst things aren't much better either. The DS being what it is, the game doesn't look nearly as good as it's 1995 incarnation and the audio that was such an important part of setting the tone and the mood of the game now becomes quickly unbearable.
Whether you're looking for a good puzzle game on the DS or an oldy for the sake of nostalgia, start looking somewhere else, this is not the game you're looking for.
