This is a great game for a 9 year old girl. My 4th grader played with it for hours. She is a very "girly, girl" and I think the game might not be for girls not into "fashion" and "shopping" and stuff like that.
Biggest problem, it is a diary set with a passcode, so when you get the game already used you won't be able to unlock it. And since there are no instructions included you might be at a loss.
To reset the whole thing press the L & R buttons and the ABXY all at the same time right after the start up screen with the swirls.
