My daughter is 4.5 years old and loves this game. She worked her way through the entire game (except one that I had to solve for her) in about 4 hours, but loves to replay it over and over.
Though I had to help her with some of the menu commands for the first 15 minutes or so (she doesn't read), she was able to find her way through the rest of the game by herself.
The ponies are very gentle with each other. The presents are cute and fun to play with. The gameplay is pretty straight forward. The music is catchy without straying into "extremely annoying" territory.
The one mini-game she couldn't get was the "dancing ponies" one. It even took me several tries to figure out what the heck to do. Garg!
This game was so cute but it was way to short and simple, even for a young girl it is to easy and you can bet your kiddie will have it done in an hour or less.
I also noticed how the developers left out the ponies ability to turn around when it walks in the other direction making it look like the pony is moon walking which looks lazy, even in the GBA game they didn't leave something like that out, it was like it was rushed in production.
