Before i start to describe this awesome game, let me just say it is 4 a.m in queens right now, however my insomnia plays no part in this review. First of all, this game requires 2 things to reach it's full potential, that is the multi-tap, and at least 3 friends willing to try a muppets game. If u have these materials, get ready for hours of fun. I actually played it on my prom night. But to get down to business, this game really is fun. The board game style setup makes it very easy to get into and all of the mini-games are somewhat challenging and really get hectic when 4 people are playing and are all good at them. The graphics aren't anything special, just really colorful. I particularly like the music, maybe cause i'm crazy, but it's really catchy and fun. The controls are very responsive and all the games are both easy to learn and not very complicated. The bottom line is, if u have friends and possibly a six-pack, this game is sweet, and i love it
I love the muppets. I love mario party. I figured, if you put the two together, it would be a winning combination. Yet somehow, someone along the way found the worst possible way to emulate a mario party experience. Let's not fool ourselves. This is exactly what these people were going for. Mario Party starring the Muppets. Well they failed miserably. They have the basic concept down. But the mini-games are not even close to being fun. The map is a little on the side of horrible. And really, I played on the easiest level and the computer still got all the perfect rolls and won all the prizes. So...really, if you have a gamecube, or even an N64, just play Mario Party. And if you don't have either of those, then go out and buy them before you even think about renting this game.
