I was NOT impressed with this game at all. First off, its now the year 2007, and this is like the 4th game in the series. I came off more like a 1997 game, or a 1st in the series game. I played it on a PS2, and the graphics weren't as good as to be expected. The movie clips, and cut-sceens from the game were Excellent, but actual game play graphics was only fair.
The controls were good, and the selection of bikes very good. Though I expected better braking and handling from a GP grade bike. My favorite was in the 500cc class. The 250cc class was for beginners/ training session.
BUT THE WORST PART WAS THE SOUND. It was simply terrible. I was thinking of playing the game with out any sound at all, it was that bad. It was like someone took household appliances, and did the recording in their garage.

i would say that for a first time out for capcom this is a pretty descent title. i dont like the graphics and its kinda hard to judge speed on the gme. graphics arent up to "ps2 par". I did play this on ps3 console so graphics may have been upscaled somewhat but still looked like a sega genesis game. there is like nothing on the sides of the racetracks, so you cant find brake markers to slow down with. but one thing for sure is the A.I is well done. good close racing no matter what your times are. they kinda group together as you race.
over all this game is a avaerage race game compared to namco's motogp or tourist trophy. i am looking forward seeing what they do with the next installment for the PS3.
