I am a fan of simulation and arcade racing titles. After playing the demo on XLA I was sure that this would be a purchase for me.
Thank goodness for Gamelfy because this game is just too hard. I am a fan of careers in racing games, but this game is just too difficult. It might be because you start off with low stats in speed, acceleration, balance (!) and so on.
I admit I have never owned or ridden a motorcycle (because a moped doesn't count). This game is simulating the upper class super bikes and they do not turn near as well as I had imagined they would.
It is a great game for fans of MOTORCYCLE simulation, but I will stick to games that simulate 4-wheeled vehicles. I know how they control and when I want to turn into a corner, I turn the wheel. I seriously tried the first course a dozen times or so and could NEVER get that bike to turn when I wanted it to.
Moto GP not for me (but a beautiful game and I cant argue that).

Unlike my fellow reviewers I do not agree that Moto GP is a simulator it is just amazingly detailed. It is very close but not a simulation I am a long time racing game fanatic for non-sim. games and can very easily tell the difference the only Moto GP sim. was Moto GP 3 for the Xbox. Moto GP '06 is just as I said before extremely detailed while most fans of the series or the the sport may pick it up may i warn you that this game is much more difficult than the previous games in the series only hardcore enthusiasts are advised to play it. Moto GP '06 is a beatiful game and incredibly realistic as well as an instant classic.
Excellent visuals, white knuckle speed and aggressive AI make this an awesome racer. It's easy to pick up and play from the start but difficult to master turns and close corner passing for position. Great career mode with challenges like Gran Turismo. I wish it had more tracks and longer career mode. Frame rate drops a bit at times but the game still looks fantastic overall. Customization menu for your bike, uniform, and helmet can be confusing until you get used to the layout. Once you do, there is a large variety to making your rider and bike unique. A must have for the moto gp fan.
