Some of my earliest gaming memories are the Mortal Kombat franchise. I still remember the blood code in fact, so i hold MK games to a high standard. One that i am afraid their last title fell short of (MK vs DC universe) after having high hopes. This one did not disappoint! They went back to the 2-d gameplay format of the original and really upped the gore on their fatalities as well as the wear and tear of each fighter over the course of each battle. They instituted a fatality trainer that allows you to preview and practice each fighters fatalities, one of the cooler features in the game actually. Only real complaint(s) are they made Shao Khan so hard to you have to play cheaply to defeat him and even then one misstep and he will kill you in a few successive moves. Also PSN has been down since its release so i have yet to go online and test my mettle against the masses. Very fun game overall and the challenge tower adds a little extra mini game flavor that kept me busy for a few hours.
Mortal kombat is non stop action from beginning to end. but sadly the failed to have one of the best mortal kombat characters in this new mortal kombat. KENSHI how could you have mortal kombat with no kenshi. in my mind that is just terrible!!! out of everybody they had to leave out kenshi. But all in all Mortal kombat is an awesome game. In my rating mortal kombat gets a 9. if it would have had kenshi it probably wold have gotten a 10 .But it still is a great game and always will be.:)
