Alright, I played the game when my buddy brought it up my house and I thought it was amazing. I loved Mortal Kombat 1-3 but just didn't care that much about it once it went to 3-D. It was good to see the series go back to its roots being very gruesome, having great fatalities, and the 2-D style that made fighting games so great in the first place. The people saying that they didn't want to pay to play doesn't know what there talking about and must understand that it doesn't cost anything if you BUY THE GAME NEW. Its the only way developers can keep from losing all their sells to used games so maybe learn the facts before putting this amazing, wonderful game down. Another thing is that everybody keeps saying that they didn't like the fact of having to learn a new character every chapter but most fighting games don't even have a story mode. The tag team matches were excellent and it was nice being able to actually TEAM UP with friends in a 2 on 2 match. Most games have tag matches but still only 2 people can play whereas this game its 2 friends vs 2 friends which made for a great time. The last thing i want to say is that one of my favorite things about the game is that it doesn't play like any other mk before making a great new experience. Keep it up Nether Realm and DON'T CHANGE A THING.
I am not good at fighting games at all. So I just play them for a different kind of game that I am used too. The story is great. But like all fighting games Its hard for me to do combos. But this game is alittle easier for me to hit the combos. But the game for me was really hard. Good thing I have my husband here to help with some of the fights. I recommend this game for anyone who is a fan of the series and of fighting games. Graphics are great, story is great.
This is a pretty fun game, with a lot of different modes and challenges. But for me, there's nothin to keep me comin back. The occasional match with a friend wouldn't justify a purchase for me. I would buy this game for 20 bucks. What I found odd was the complete lack of new content. NO new stages, and NO new characters. Really? Can I trade in some of the modes and unlockables for some new characters? They spent way too much time making the game SEEM like there's a lot to do, but with no new characters, it really feels like a "been there done that" type of experience. They went for shock value, so really nothing has changed in 20 years. Solid fighter, but mainly for Mortal Kombat fans, and after this game, I can't really say I am one. I will be interested in a new MK game, but they've made it harder on themselves by not getting the ball rolling on new content.
