Let me start off by saying that Mortal Kombat is one of the greatest fighting games I've ever played. Before MK vs. DC Universe, I had never even heard of Mortal Kombat (okay, okay, let it all out noobs). After I played that game, I started playing older MK games like Deception and Armageddon. I was both surprised and impressed by how graphically violent the games are. I was hoping from the moment this new game was anounced that Midway would shy away from the DC concept and return to the series' origins. I got my wish; maybe too much.
This new game really surprised me. I didn't expect it to be this gory and violent. It's almost ridiculous to make a game like this that shows young kids depictions of ripping someone's head off and tearing them apart. Just a heads up, in this game it actually shows fighters cut open to the bone, with skin dangling and torn and the fighters soaked in blood. Don't get me wrong - I love playing this game, but I think they went to far with the gore and violence. This is just me though; Mk veterans are probably used to it. All in all, this game is great for MK fans, newcomers and hardcore fighting gamers alike. It is terrible for people who, unlike me, have weak stomachs, because if you do you may want to carry a barfing bag with you when you play this game.
I understand these companies wanna make more money out of us gamefly people but making us pay 800microsoft points to get online is bs. They keep that bs up and I'll stop playing console games all together.
