Good fighting game, otherwise average

While this is a good mix of the characters in the fighting game genre, it isn't an overall great game. I have played through each story line, the arcade with characters from both MK and DC and tried the Kombo challenges and I feel like I'm done with the game in a little under 10hrs of game play. Once you play through the story on each side, not much of a pull to go through it again. I read a review from someone else that likened the game to an adult smut flick, very little story, then action, bad story, action, rinse and repeat. You could play through the arcade version with all 22 characters by why would you want too. I can remember playing through MKII on my SNES for hours, but, now, these style of games, without the same violence factor as the originals, leave me wanting more. It is fun to play as Batman and beat up on Scorpion, but, it doesn't have the same draw as it once did. Have to agree with another review, the Joker is probably the best character to not get bored with during a run at the arcade version.
The other factor that makes this game hard to play is the D-pad on the xbox-360 controllers. They make it hard to pull off some of the moves and fatalities for some characters.
