Very Good

80% Gamecube Game and 20% Wii

You have to unplug the Gamecube controller to use the Wii (and that is a bad move); because this is a good Gamecube game but for the number of delays this game had it could have been a "Killer App".

The Wiimote does not work all the time; plus this is more a last-gen game just ported; thats why it gets a 8. There is a lot of content and the AI is quite good {even on easy); also there are tons of stuff to unlock. The graphics are very good for a early Wii game.

Wait for a sequel (I am)!

All right i know alot of people were looking forward to this game (I know i was)but. it is rather disappointing.
I know u think it's a good idea to use the unique Wii controls on this classic fighting game but, it just kinda turned in to a nightmare.
The campaign thing is a boring and bland story, the graphics are no beter than they were on a PS1,
the controls are so frustrating that the character ends up doing either the wrong move or nothing, and its campaign is just pain repetitive.
The arcade move is almost fun except for the sucky control scheme. The stupid lil racing mini game is the only fun part in the game..its just very sad.
If you have an Xbox rent it on that this just plain sucks.

My review of Mortal Kombat for the Wii

Let's get straight to the point. You want to know whether or not to add this game to your Que? That's why you're here reading this, correct? You have doubts on how well the Wii's unique controls can improve on a solid fighting game engine. Well maybe you don't think that last part.

Ok, I'll make this quick.

The controls are terrible. I really wanted to like it, and I rented this game solely on the videos I've seen on how the wiimote is used to do special moves. I thought that was a great idea... on paper. In practice, though, it either performs the wrong move or just does nothing at all. Very frustrating.

That's not to mention the poor quality graphics and cinemas. Plain and simple, this game looks better on the ORIGINAL Xbox.

It's actually a good choice if you have an Xbox. If you don't, just wait for a better fighting game. Or rent another type of game. This Mortal Kombat was rushed onto the Wii with poor transition. Don't say I didn't warn you!

If you're still reading, thank you. I hope this review helps make your decision... "No."
