good but lacking

In short: MK:A is a good game, has great new things, but is very shrot lived. Unless you're down for repeatidly playing thru the arcade mode, or konquest, it's not very lasting beyond MAYBE 20hrs.
In long: Konquest has become a pretty fun and good storyline now. Lots of collectiables and etc to be gotten there. the krypt is....well it's the same place u go to unlock things. There is a place to put in some kodes, but nothing to major. Arcade is what it always is in fighting games, u get a different ending for each character, but unfortunatly you can only see that ending when u beat it with them, it doesn't unlock it for good. Kreate-a-karacter is just great. It really is a fun aspect, it does lack TOO many pieces, but it's not that noticable. The powers for ur KAK could be better, and have a bigger library but once again, nothing TOO major. It lakes some instant replayability, but give it a little bit of time, and you'll enjoy coming back to it for things you may not have done/completed and it'll see fresh all over again.
It does have some flaws, but nothing too major you can't get past, a DEFINATE renter, and if you buy it you can get the special edition which includes MK:Ultimate 3.
