Movie Description
Fabled British comedy troupe Monty Python presents its interpretation of King Arthur's search for the mythical Holy Grail. But really it's just an excuse to let the unparalleled Monty Python comedic imagination riff on medieval times. King Arthur (Graham Chapman) rounds up Sir Galahad the Pure (Michael Palin), Sir Bedevere (Terry Jones), Sir Lancelot the Brave (John Cleese), and Sir Robin the Not-Quite-So-Brave-As-Sir-Lancelot (Eric Idle). The group travels the countryside on "horseback" (servants clicking coconuts to make hoof sounds) to find the Grail. They encounter witch trials, taunting Frenchmen, and a ridiculous array of friends and foes, including the Knights Who Say Ni and a killer rabbit. The timeless satire more quotable lines than just about any comedy in history.
