But I am not sure that it is the BEST that the PSP can offer us. A very rich story to say the least, with some decent voice acting and easy controls to maneuver about. When accessing a town, you use the cursor to move back and forth between options.

Battles are more stylistic, revealing the monsters that each character wield. The menu to choose your attack is a bit clunky, but the attacks are generated well.

The problem is that the screen is split into one third bad guy and two thirds your monster. You see the attack and see the reaction, but the presentation of this could have been much better. The other trying part was going through a lot of set up for your next adventure. I am all for the classic RPG presentation, but there is just a little lag when you scroll through each text box.

All in all, it isn't a BAD game, it is more of an acquired taste. If you are a big Atlus fan, this should be normal for you. However, this game will not appeal to EVERYONE.

I know some of you are just looking for some good advice, not an article, so... this'll be short:
1. I didn't like the team thing all that much
2. the way you advance your monster using gems was pretty cool, that way you could decide what element they advance in and at what rate they evolve
3. I didn't like the gem system all that much though because it was slightly inconvenient... you have to leave the monster in a box to be improved over a period of real time play before you can use it again...
4. I liked the story line and all the characters different personalities, even the crazy old man
that's about it... don't chose any favorites because the game will force you to play with all the monsters you have available.... because your going to use the gem system at some point....
Great game though

This game drew my attention really fast it has an amazing cover and really great game play. The only thing that really bothered me was all the talking that they did. Other than that this game is great.
