Playing this on the Wii is a fun experience with just several small hiccups. The monster hunter experience is better than ever before, with everything being a bit more streamlined for easier pick-up and play. I was happy to see that there was some wi-fi play ability. The chance to use your Wii-mote to play is also very welcome, as it does help to enhance gameplay over the controller. The things that were just a small drawback to me were that if you were to use the controllers there is a bit of a learning curve and the use of going back and forth between controller and Wii-mote for afew things is a small bit tedious. Then there is the fact that this is a late generation game for the Wii. It looks as great as it can on the system, but the fact that it is out for the Wii U means the chance for prettier gameplay. Bottomline for me: I rented this for about 2 weeks and knew that I wanted to get it, so I picked it up after sending the game back in. Whenever I get the Wii U, I will most likely trade up.
