Exceptional PSP Game

The moment I began playing Monster Hunter, I noticed the very first thing was the exhausting load times. At first, I thought, "If this continues, I may not play the game." But after playing it for ten minutes, my thoughts were completely reversed. The game features a vast amount of potential. From setting traps, to creating weapons and armor out of the parts of your prey, to actually making you think during a fight. The game certainly rewards you for patience, especially while attempting to set up traps that, in Ad-Hoc with multiple players, can become quite intricate. As you progress through the game, new zones can be discovered, revealing another huge amount of new beasts to hunt and breath-taking environments to explore. Sound effects were another highlight of the game, as they drew you into each zone with excellent transitions and crystal clear quality. Combat is another thing itself, taking advantage of the element of surprise is key to taking down certain creatures, but leading some into traps is better. It is a sharp learning curve, that can be frustrating but fun and innovative at the same time. People who don't enjoy thinking during fights shouldn't purchase this game, but it will be worth your rent. Those who enjoy high replayability and need a fresh take on a game, buy this game by all means.
I give Monster Hunter FREEDOM a...9/10
