Horrible

Obnoxious

This is by far the most obnoxious game I've ever had the misfortune of experiencing. It plays dozens of silly animations at every move and twitch like a spoiled four year old. Avoid this game like the plague.

Really Bad

A short and sweet review

One of these days, I'm going to kill the Monopoly guy.

The only way you can understand why is to play this game.
There are NO settings to get rid of the Monopoly guy announcing EVERY SINGLE DETAIL ABOUT EVERYTHING! He never shuts up!

And it's not even like he explains something once and then doesn't say it again.... Every time you go to jail, he explains you can use a get out of jail free card, pay the bail, or roll a double. EVERY TIME! When you buy a property he tells you stuff like you need all three properties to buy houses. EVERY TIME! It frustrates me to no end. Sometimes I just want to reach through the TV and grab his annoying voice self and scream JUST SHUT UP AND LET ME PLAY THE GAME!!!

I can go on about how much it annoys me but really, the only way you can see how annoying it is is to play the game yourself. I looked at reviews giving it a mediocre rating and thought....well it's can't be that bad. Seeing the review I'm writing now, it is obviously that bad.

Also, there is no option to turn off the generic 3 minute music loop. The only way to get rid of it is to play music from your hard drive, BUT YOU STILL CAN'T GET RID OF THE MONOPOLY GUY!!!!

The ability of turning off announcers, sound effects, and music is something you often take for granted. There is no reason for not having the options to turn that stuff off. I'll stick with Monopoly CD Rom from the Windows 98 days. That version is WAY better than this pile of dookie.
