Very good version of a parker bros classic anyone can enjoy. Only critism is, where are all the team, university, state specific versions that are released on a daily basis? There's no denying a blu ray has the capacity to hold versions of each of these enjoyable games that people would look for. I would purchase the game if it had Red Sox Monopoly, or UMD, URI, or Rhode Island Monopoly for instance... There is a feature to customize your own version but who honestly has time for that when a game takes so long to begin with?
This was a very fun and new version of Monopoly! It was easy to learn and I loved it. Lots of different boards to choose from. If you like Monopoly then you will love this game. I am going to buy it now!!
Some, like myself, will consider this a bit boring. Slow game play...playing with human players takes just as long as it does playing the real game. Don't expect a time savings to win the game. The various board options are ok but nothing spectacular it is just soooo slow. Not by any means a good replacement for the real thing. I thought this would be quicker. The saving grace I will say is that you don't have to worry about being the banker and you can see who owns what properties...but the rolling dice feature does not really seem that random at all...especially during first rolls to go first and minigame rolls. The mini-games...which remind me of Mario party DS minigames (but much worse) are also sloppy...the controls are not accurate at all. At least not to my liking. I found a new respect for the game pens the DS uses now. I am definitely glad i rented this and not bought it. If you hate cleaning up the real game when you are done or you play with cheaters alot...then this game is for you. Other than that I would suspect most would prefer to play the real thing.
