The game Mirror's edge relies on the idea of the word 'simple' and what they did with it is utterly amazing.
The game is short, the plot is basic yet deep. You're faith, and you're trying to clear your sister's name because she was framed- enough said.
Faith is a runner, basically a person with amazing parkour skills. You'll be jumping from roof to roof, running along walls, climbing fences, dodging bullets, etc. All in first person.
The first person aspect is really what makes this game shine, the controls are smooth and everything feels natural. There will be a few times where you won't know exactly what to do, but the checkpoint system is amazing. The combat is simple, hit a well timed triangle press to take the opponent's gun- although this is probably the biggest problem, the timing is always off.
Honestly, there's not much to review in this game, it's a short rush, every new area will push your survival skills, so to speak.
One last note, after playing this game, I kinda wish Sonic (The Hedgehog) games were more like this.
