The simplest games with many different memory tricks that make you feel like you are doing some grade school homework, and yet the most hardest thing to stop playing other than Luminies.

Okay... Not the BEST quiz/brainer game out there on the market right now, but it tries. Ever since the DS released BRAIN AGE, numerous other developers began to dish up their own special recipes, attempting to catch the same flavor.
Mind quiz is challenging and it's scheduled well... that is, if you're actually playing the games for "brain enhancing" purposes. Most likely you're not. Staring blankly as a PSP screen with a bit of slobber on your chin tends to draw a fine line between entertained and athletic.
Anyway, the quizzes are snappy and all, the puzzles filled with their share of hair-pulling aggravation, but the entire time, I couldn't help but feels as though I was playing a text-book with a screen, prepping myself for some upcoming SATs or College Finals or something. The teachers and students are cute and somewhat animated, but it's kinda hard to enjoy a video game that is trying to make you feel like you're in school... am I making sense here? Maybe I'm just too picky.
Sound... not bad. Some of the music seemed out of place. Some tunes really didn't need to be there at all... meddles with the ol' thinker-box up above, ya know? I'm not one for happy-go-lucky video game fanfare when I'm trying my hardest to calculate. heh.
All in all, it's a knock-off of Brain Age, but not as personal feeling. Not as interactive. Brain Age wins points for the fact that you could write your answers down. MQ presents multiple choices that you choose with the corresponding PSP button... That, in itself, significantly lowers the challenge level of most of the puzzles.
If you're into Brain Age, Big Brain Academy, etc, but you're all outta DS, then rent this and give it a shot. I didn't get around to testing the online options, simply because the game felt stale enough in single-player mode... I was afraid of just connecting online with other players, only to be greeted by their own moans and groans about how it's not "Brain Age". It's not. But it's got brain!
