Let's just start off by saying I got the game on sale digitally from the Xbox Games Store. The plot (and that's being generous) is woefully underdeveloped. As a fan of racing games, this game just stays in the My Games section until one of my friends play it and I play it with them. However it involves a LOT of customization. This is important to me. It is a tiny bit more realistic to me than Need for Speed. The only things you unlock (though it is useful) at the same time is performance upgrades. All visual upgrades you unlock as you level up your rank in a particular "class" (tuner, exotic, muscle, lowrider, suv, and luxury) which take a lot of time to unlock. It promotes longetivity, but can get arduous. The final mission takes TOO much time to unlock. Bottom line is this: you'll rent it, you beat the story, you play some online, you send it back. It's only partly worth it. I'd rate it a 6.5, but Gamefly doesn't have that option.
