Gamefly is great. Thanks to them I'm not stuck with this horrible game with frustrating, controls and graphics that make the cars drive as if they were boats trying to get out of the mud. Also I understand that the game is called "MICRO Machines" but those teeny, tiny cars on the 4 inch psp screen make we wish I had a microscope attachment.
This game is way below average! The computer characters in the single player mode are always better than you no matter what car you have. After about 700000 tries on the same track, maybe you'll finally win, then THE SAME THING HAPPENS on the next race. THE COMPUTER ALWAYS BEATS ME!! Maybe I'm just bad at the game, but I was playing on easy and you'd think that it shouldn't take too many tries to win. And if you fall off of a ledge just ONCE , then you've basically lost the whole race. You don't even have to fall for the computer players to get ahead of you!!! And if you don't land (after you've gone off a jump) in the EXACT spot that the game wants you to land in, then it makes the falling sound and your car gets re spawned. This game keeps you entertained the first time you play, then it gets REALLY REALLY boring. And if you don't pick your car, then the computer gives you the worst car!!! The battle mode is fun though. Its easier to win the battle modes.
I've always been a fan of the micro machines series since I first played on the genesis back in the day. Simple multiplayer fun, mindless, simple, but enough of a technical side you can definitely progress and learn as a player.
This game, has the mindless aspect of it, it's pretty simple, but definitely doesn't have the technical side of things, the control is slippy and extremely frustrating. The camera whizzes around, and much of the dificulty of the game is simply keeping the car under control.
It's a fun rent for a bit, but I don't know about a buy..
