I think this game was done nicely, but I like Just Dance 2 much better. I think I would get tired of dancing to only 80's and 90's Michael Jackson music. I think this could have been improved if some of his Jackson 5 songs were included. I know one of them is on Just Dance 2, but there are certainly a few that could have been added to MJ experience. A fun rental, but not something I would want to buy and play long-term.
Wow! This game is not for the lazy leaguer. Be prepared to expend a great deal of energy while playing Michael Jackson Experience. There are a few songs like "The Girl is Mine" and "Heal the World" which require minimal movement but the remaining tunes will definitely have you feeling the burn.
There are a few downsides to the game such as the irratic scoring, misread moves, limited menus, and lack of additional materials. The creators could have made this a Michael expo but, instead, they made it a one-and-done dance game. Shame on them. Though you rack up points, there is no element of competition. You just have to take it for granted that you know who's bad.
After going hardcore first-person shooter for a month or two, it was nice to take a break and dance with the legend himslef. The Experience puts Jackson's greatness into perspective each time I try (and fail) to recreate his mastery. What's even better is watching family members enjoy themselves as they join in the fun.
Put this one in your queue, get on your dancing shoes and start something!
My kids and I love Michael Jackson and this is a great game. We don't do any of the "learn the steps" - we just jumped in a dance! The music is good (though, I wish they had man in the mirror - our all time favorite song) and the dancing is fun and quite a work out. We have a blast!!
