For a movie franchise game, this ain't half bad. Clearly targeting shooter fans it meets most basic requirements for your typical TPS on the PSP. Control layout is logical and is easy to pick up. Story line is tolerable and mildly engaging. Weapon selection is nice and allows for upgrades. Other upgrades include armour and 'reputation suits'. You see, part of the experience is to collect drugs to sell for cash for upgrades as well as reputation points that allow you to do deals with various drug barons outside of the basic missions.

As mentioned in other reviews there is also a mini game hacking system that allows various unlocks for upgrades. While some have mentioned it being difficult, I found it pretty straight forward once you get the hang of it. For those of you old enough, it kinda reminds me of Asteroids. One annoyance is the voice acting. Terrible. Seems your enemies have a cache of only three insults to lob at you, which gets repetitive and annoying. I also agree with other reviews that this isn't overly challenging. However, in comparison to other PSP shooter fair this certainly ranks in the upper ranks (doesn't say much to the game choices on PSP, but I digress).

Pros:
Solid basic 3rd person shooter. Keeps your attention with more than basic mission based fair.

Cons:
One play and done. Really no replay ability. Voice acting.

I was kind of worried about playing this i just got it in the mail, and i have been playing this ever since i got it! its fun but it could get boring, the only thing i didnt like is they should allow you to have more then 2 wepons in the missions and add differnt ones also to the list but other then that a great game.

Single-player:This game is great that is why I gave it a nine out of ten,but this game does have its downs however its ups almost make the downs disappear. The games story is to heavy when it comes to plot becuase all you do is go on missions and destroy drug caches, factories, ect. but thats not a bad thing since the game is called"Miami Vice".The arsenal of weapons isn't to big either but there is enough to give you variety and after playing a while you will notice what each weapon is best used for.Since you can only carry two weapons it gives it more of a stratigec approach when it comes to loadout which in my opinion is a good thing.
Multi-player:None of my friends have this game and there is no online feature so I am sorry to announce I cannot give a mutli-player component of the review.
Bugs:The game has little bugs that occour rarely in the gameplay and when they do they are very minor things like you get stuck so you must let of on the anolog nub, there is nothing big in the way of bugs.
Problems:This game has little amounts of problems execpt the hacking system. The hacking gameplay in this game is so irrelevent that it makes you wonder why it is there. The hacking is you as a little triangle holding down the X button so you can give out an EMP pulse(Or so it looks like)and you must destroy little blocks,I could never seem to win at any of these things so don't be surprised if you have a hard time with hacking in this game
Control:Other than the fact that this game is a "Duck and shoot"shooter it is almost exactly like RE4s controls, and if you felt at home with those controls you will do fine here.If you have never played RE4 basicly what I am saying is that the're good. The boat control on the other hand could use some work, basicly you will notice the boat kinda turns fast making it a little hard to control.
Overall:I would have given this game a 10/10 execpt for that hacking system that does not seem to have been thought out correctly, other than that its :)
