For a movie franchise game, this ain't half bad. Clearly targeting shooter fans it meets most basic requirements for your typical TPS on the PSP. Control layout is logical and is easy to pick up. Story line is tolerable and mildly engaging. Weapon selection is nice and allows for upgrades. Other upgrades include armour and 'reputation suits'. You see, part of the experience is to collect drugs to sell for cash for upgrades as well as reputation points that allow you to do deals with various drug barons outside of the basic missions.
As mentioned in other reviews there is also a mini game hacking system that allows various unlocks for upgrades. While some have mentioned it being difficult, I found it pretty straight forward once you get the hang of it. For those of you old enough, it kinda reminds me of Asteroids. One annoyance is the voice acting. Terrible. Seems your enemies have a cache of only three insults to lob at you, which gets repetitive and annoying. I also agree with other reviews that this isn't overly challenging. However, in comparison to other PSP shooter fair this certainly ranks in the upper ranks (doesn't say much to the game choices on PSP, but I digress).
Pros:
Solid basic 3rd person shooter. Keeps your attention with more than basic mission based fair.
Cons:
One play and done. Really no replay ability. Voice acting.
