Great game but dialogue was off

I loved the game play and the story. But one thing i didnt like is when people tried talking to you and you did nothing, but for them you talked to them... it as just weird. The background was stunning which i could look at for hours. Gameplay was really fun and never boring. another thing was the dialogue between the enemies was really fun to listen to. It made sneaking so much more tolerable

Metro Last Light Ok

Metro Last Light is an ok FPS. The story carries on from the first Metro but it never develops and it certainly has one of the weakest ending I have seen in a while. The ending is clearly an attempt to leave us wanting more in the next release. The game play is good although a bit repetitive but for a couple of hours it is alright.

Superior to 2033 in every way

After completing Last Light, I'd have to say I'm impressed with how much it's improved since 2033. This series is becoming a nice hidden gem for the saturated FPS genre, and I look forward to future Metro installments. Last Light is however more mainstream than 2033, but I enjoyed this newer, more polished game nonetheless.

You still play as Artym the Russian guy, it's still post nuclear war where everyone has Russian accents, but the story focuses on two opposing sides and their war. Your special ability to communicate with the dark ones also plays a major role in the incredible story you play out in this campaign.

You'll notice certain things remain, like being able to open your guide book, use a lighter to provide light, have a flashlight, need to boost battery power, wipe your gas mask, and monitor your oxygen levels. These things are what make Metro, Metro... It's the little differences that count, but you'll still find the complex control scheme remains.

Last Light can also be played totally stealth, very much like Dishonored, where you can complete the game with almost never killing a single human enemy. The mutated creatures are fair game though. You can stay hidden in shadows, crouch for low sound, and silent kill or knockout enemies like a true assassin. And you can kill naziis...always a good time.

These new stealth elements, and ability to customize your weapon loadouts (silencers, scopes, extended clips, etc.) made this game way more fun for me. I tried both stealth and guns blazing strategies, but ammo is scarce on higher difficulty levels, so it's tricky if you get spotted and enemies start opening up clips into you. If you found 2033 too difficult, you'll be happy to know they have easy mode, insane mode, and everything in between if you think you can survive.

I would HIGHLY recommend renting Last Light for all the above mentioned reasons and more.
