If you like games that are extremely creepy and have a great story, this game is for you. This game makes bioshock and left 4 dead look like rides at disney land. Still, depends on what you are looking for.
I personally loved this game. I didn't run into any of the glitches that everyone complains about, and the game only froze on my twice throughout the week it took me. This game actually made me scared to go downstairs. I think, that if they had made the game entirely open world, and with a lot of side quests, weapons, and monsters; it would have tied with Fallout 3. But still, amazing game, I loved the ending. I highly recommend it to anyone who is looking for some jumps late at night, or someone who loves to see loss, and gain in any game.
This game has a phenominal storyline and actually does stick to the book it is based off. You really get in turn with your character, even though many of the characters you meet along the way die pretty quick. I would not go out and spend $60 on this game, but if you are thinking about buying it used or renting it on here then I would suggest it. The replay value is almost none. Unless you like the storyline that much there is no desire to play it again. I would suggest reading the book in the process. Makes the gameplay that much better.
