If you have ever made any interest in stealth than I'm sure you have heard of the legendary Metal Gear franchise. And the main point of this package is to introduce three great games for the new generation in beautiful HD. MGS HD Collection comes with one of the highest rated games EVER to grace the planet MGS2 Sons of Liberty which is set in the 2000 time period. The second game is also the highly rated MGS3 Snake Eater where you play as The Boss in 1964. Then my personal favorite game in the collection MGS Peace Walker the game that was originally on the PSP but know on PS3 and Xbox 360 and is simply amazing to play on the big screen finally. But first thing is first I didn't play MGS2 and MGS3 when they came out but I have played Pace Walker on my PSP. But the only thing I REALLY hate about this package is the controls for MGS2 and MGS3, the controls are really horrible. The controls are the same as the original game but if they really wanted to make it the best package for the new generation that is more used to GOW controls than its probably better to change the controls to good controls when its actually LT to aim and RT to shoot. Anyway but I mean it is much harder to play but it is still a great game to play. But the only game that i could play that I really loved was Peace Walker. The beautiful cut scene art and the control themed cut scenes make it really stylish for the franchise. Anyway also the camera is really messed in MGS2 and I know that, that's how the original game had it but still it gets really confusing and weird because instead of looking at snake in a normal way instead of just looking at his head. But the real thing is that if you have not played these amazing games there is no excuse to rent it.
I have to admit, my expectations were a bit high. I expected ALL of the MGS games and when I played the First disk, I though It was what I had gotten. On disk lone, you start with MGS3:SE, the Prequel to the hole story, how Snake became the "Big Boss" and so on. Then following the time line, you play MGS2 the Manhattan Incidents, The Tanker with Metal Gear Ray, then The Plant, where a team of Ex-NAVY Seal Training Officers known as DEAD CELL take over an offshore refinery called "Big Shell". I was pleased with this and had expected that MGS4 may have been on the 2nd disk, but it wasn't. Overall, this is a good port from the PS to the 360 but it would have been better if they had included something other than Peace Walker on the other disk.
