The MGS series was one of the first I've ever played, I remember how awesome it was when my older brother was playing and he let me watch him. I've played every game in the series, and I have to say, this remake is a great improvement graphic wise.
I just can't help feel that kids these days can't appreciate a great game unless its a million-mile-an-hour, flashy shoot 'em up. Yes, the controls are a bit dated, but the fantastic story is what makes the series awesome. There ARE great games out there in which the graphics are dated, you just have to get past that part.
Anyone with any sort of intellect and passion for a great story will love this game. But for the rest of you, I suggest you go grab a Mountain Dew and play some Call of Duty, or whatever it is you kids do this days.

Metal gear: Sons of Liberty and Metal Gear:Snake eater are what makes this HD collection worth the rent.
Sons of liberty has an epic story line, epic characters and really gets you wanting more.
Metal gear snake eater takes place in the 60's and you play as Snakes father "big boss" which is awesome! and again epic story, epic characters and just an all out epic game!
Peace walker on the other hand is just Ehh. There is absolutely no flow to peace walker what so ever, you do a mission and you're brought back to the main menu when you complete .... annoying. Did not finish it and I don't ever plan on finishing it. it is not a hard game just annoying how there is no flow like the other two games.
Bottom line is rent this game for disc 1 content (sons of liberty and snake eater) don't bother putting peace walker in
Does anyone besides me think it's a good idea to send the book that comes with the game will help figure out how to play the game? The way this game was made is one of the reasons why I've always hated these types of games.
