MGS3 Subsistence is a great game. The new camera angle is great, way better than the old one. The gameplay is extremely fun. The story can be cheesy at times(theres a boss that can control bees, whats that about?)but is still ok. You must rent this game.
I have to say that MGS has the best Subsistence additions then any other MGS game yet.
Mostly the single player game is unchanged however the addition of a controllable camera is a blessing that takes allot of the frustration out of the original. Other then that the single player does not have nay real noticeable difference. It is still one of the most fun stealth/action games i have ever played.
As for the online component i have a few minor issues (which is why this didn't get a 10). The Multiplayer is a great deal of fun and i have spent hours playing online. The game modes are plentiful and none of them are really dull. The map selection is pretty good and most of them are worth playing regularly, plus if you learn the maps and know how to use your clays and how to use the camera to your advantage you can pull of some pretty cool kills. The only real issue i have with online are the controls. MGS controls just aren't exactly streamlined for multiplayer use. I personally could not get used to have to stop moving to get a decent shot at some ones head or shoot a guy who was a bit uphill. Its no game breaker and multiplayer is still fun but i find the controls to be limiting and a bit frustrating
This is another release of the best MGS yet Snake Eater...Wait don't run away from a remake yet this game holds so much more. Along with the game Snake Eater this game contains an awesome multiplayer online game. The MO contains games you can play online from capture the kero-tan to Protect the Ga-Ko. This MO supports use of the Ps2 Headset and Keyboard to fully contact those wimps that you got last game. Other then the online game additions and the addition of the old school Metal Gears from the Nintendo Entertainment System It is a remake but the overall package is well worth the collectors hard earned cash!
