This game is a lot of fun. The graphics are average, though sometimes they are really good. The slicing everything up is what is fun about this game. Sometimes you can slice and dice things up into 1000 pieces. Non stop action throughout the whole game. Great pacing. It also has humor in various ways so it does not take itself seriously. It is perfect for a rental.

Another example of why Raiden in the Metal Gear series is a terrible idea.
Voice acting....awful!
Gameplay..when you face more than just one opponent...awful, and even then it's pretty terrible.
Cut scenes, the only thing the developers put in to the game.

Never Have I Been More Disappointed

Let me make this clear, if your a fan of Platinum games more than you are of Metal Gear, then you may enjoy it even though the story is horrible. Its a very fun (Mostly) game with a lot of incredible action and a near perfect combat system.
Now, if you are a Metal Gear fan and wanted to see some more of Raidens story you will be sorely disappointed. Its incredibly over the top, inconceivably far removed from the MGS universe and 100% platinum story that never stops defying common sense. The story could have been a pretty good side bar but the acting and direction is so bad that you're better off not even paying attention because it will only hurt the experience. It seams as though all the ideas brought about from the games inception with Kojima had been tossed. For instance, Raiden can't lift a metal gear, thats just preposterous. In MGS4 it took all of his strength and the loss of limbs to do something less. It just doesn't make sense. The game ends up feeling like a completely different series with an unlockable Raiden costume. Its the fact that Raiden is still (partly) human that makes everything he does so awesome and impactful in MGS4 but in this game he has superhuman abilities instead.
This game is incredibly stupid with the exception of the combat so, if the combat is all you're interested in then you wont be disappointed but if you wanted and expected something more than you're gonna have a bad time.
