It was obvious that his game was designed for the Wii or and motion controlers. There is no block and parries had to be beyond perfectly directed and timed, which created a good deal of frustration and makes fighting boring and predictable - sprinting in circles avoiding hits. I will stubbornly finish games that I don't particularly like but I sent this one back before I was done.

Since Metal Gear first appeared on the original 8 bit Nintendo, it's always been about stealth...what was going through the minds at Konami when they threw the idea of a hack and slash, anime fest with club/dubstep background music on the table is beyond me. I'm disappointed that Hideo Kojima would approve this kind of garbage....if they wanted to make a button mashing type of game like Ninja Gaiden or Devil May Cry, fine....but don't slap the Metal Gear name on it....you have definitely put a black mark on what was a great franchise.
Even the story line was lacking, camera angles were just awful and controls were abominable. I truly hope they can go back to what worked before and save the Metal Gear name. Save your money! I lasted 10 minutes before tossing it back in the mail.

I realize that this is not the same style of gameplay as the rest of the Metal Gear series, but the overall quality of the game does not come close to the other games in the MGS series. The cut scenes were amazing, but the repetitive button mashing, terrible camera, and broken defensive system truly made this game a terrible one.
