Metal Gear Less Than Solid

The game feels totally contrived. The card aspect has been forced into Metal Gear as a way to put Metal Gear on a handheld. This is a face only a fanboy would love.

To begin with, this is different take on the Metal Gear universe. Not only is it on the PSP, it is turned based. Don't let this turn you off though, even one who thinks turn based is boring will see that this is a Metal Gear game through and through. It still contains an odd story line, weird characters, and can sometimes cause confusion that begs "what the heck is going on?" It also uses cards instead of an inventory, and the cards are only representative. It is not summoning the weapon/item. The game is unique in its more strategic approach. This game is definitely a leap from the standard Metal Gear action, but it is also definitely worth a try.

Bad Metal Gear game. Good card game.

I am a huge fan of the Metal Gear series. When Raiden was introduced in "Sons of Liberty" for the PS2, it was certainly different, and not what I was expecting. But the game was still a decent Metal Gear game.

The card game aspect changes the game WAY too much! This is no longer changing a main character, this is completely changing the style of play. It was very frustrating having to wait for my turn before I could respond to any situation! Also, waiting for all the enemies to take their turn ensures you will not get sucked into the game play or story. As a Metal Gear fan, I was disappointed. If you're a fan of card based games, this will be a fun one!
