This review is about the game MegamanZX Advent, a game for the DS. First of all, it's perfect for the DS. Second, it has a good storyline. The game is about the character you choose. If you pick the guy, it's about a robot who tries to figure out who he really is. If you pick the girl, it's about a hunter who also tries to find her true identity. Overall, it's the same storyline only with different genders. What's good is that you get to have different powers while going through the game. Now for the setbacks. Like I said, the storyline is the same for both characters. It would be nice to have a different story for each character next time. That's about the only bad thing for this game. What's good is that it's the same 2-D platforming we all loved from the past games. My advice, rent this game if you're either a Megaman fan or a DS fan.

I had a lot of fun with this one. It's one of the best Megamans I've played to date because there are so many different suits you can change into depending on what obstacles you have to overcome and what bosses you have to fight. You even get to inherent the forms of bosses after you defeat them and use them against other bosses later in the game. Best of all, it's a game that you can just pick up and play any time you want without worrying about remembering what you did last. You'll get addicted pretty quick though and probably be able to beat it in a few days.

What were of the creators of this game thinking? The game is more playable than the first ZX but it's still not good enough and poorly designed. It's difficult to find your way around and too often the game leaves you in the dark. And the game is also infuriatingly hard. It's so cheap because there are lots of one-hit kills and there are far too few save points. Dying also means you have to redo all the role-playing rubbish you did before you died. Was there ANY reason not to have infinite lives and let players choose when to give up?.. or is that just too well-designed for a Mega Man game? The game's bosses are fun and they are cool, the graphics are very good 2D graphics for the DS, the soundtrack is terrific, and I really like that the game is voiced. But it's also extremely cheesy. This game is overall very hard to like.
