The Megaman X Collection is a nice compilation for any fan of the X series and anyone wanting to try the series out.
Graphics(Least important): On the SNES games, really good. Nicely detailed for the time and interestingly experimental in X2. The PS1 games are gorgeous. Very detailed and very stylized, though recycled.
Music: In all of them, the music is incredible, though the SNES version of X3's music makes me wonder why they chose the PS1 version over the SNES.
Gameplay(Most important): Excellent. Controls are very smooth and the action is very fast paced, especially in the later games. If you can, play the PS2 version of this collection, as the Gamecube d-pad isn't as responsive, but they're still solid on the Gamecube.
Story: Good. I can't go into detail without spoiling anything, aside from the main character, X, and his partner, Zero, fight against the Maverick forces of Sigma. It's much deeper than that, but that's the generalization of the games.
In conclusion: The collection is very good with an entertaining story, beautiful graphics, incredible music, and solid, fast-paced gameplay. If you have a Gamecube/Wii or a PS2, this is a must have.
