The Mega Man series has to be one of my favorites. I wish Nintendo never turned all the old NES franchises over to Sony, but oh well such is life. It's exactly what you would expect from a Mega Man game. All the X games on one disc and the bonus racing game. The only thing I don't like about the game had nothing to do with the game itself. The GC controller is NOT good for this type of game. The button layout was awkward no matter how I configured it. The PS2 button layout is perfect since its the same as the SNES controller. I prefer to play the older games on their original systems for this reason alone. It's just not the same to me playing the older games with the modern controllers. Most of you playing this game are probably younger than myself so this wouldn't really matter to you. This just makes the game slightly more difficult to enjoy for me. All the games are just the same, I am glad games like these are being made so the younger generation can enjoy all the games I played when I was younger. You get exactly what you can expect here, nothing revolutionary, just a well made compilation.

The Megaman X Collection is a nice compilation for any fan of the X series and anyone wanting to try the series out.

Graphics(Least important): On the SNES games, really good. Nicely detailed for the time and interestingly experimental in X2. The PS1 games are gorgeous. Very detailed and very stylized, though recycled.

Music: In all of them, the music is incredible, though the SNES version of X3's music makes me wonder why they chose the PS1 version over the SNES.

Gameplay(Most important): Excellent. Controls are very smooth and the action is very fast paced, especially in the later games. If you can, play the PS2 version of this collection, as the Gamecube d-pad isn't as responsive, but they're still solid on the Gamecube.

Story: Good. I can't go into detail without spoiling anything, aside from the main character, X, and his partner, Zero, fight against the Maverick forces of Sigma. It's much deeper than that, but that's the generalization of the games.

In conclusion: The collection is very good with an entertaining story, beautiful graphics, incredible music, and solid, fast-paced gameplay. If you have a Gamecube/Wii or a PS2, this is a must have.

Graphics: 9/10
Music: 10/10
Gameplay: 9.5/10
Story: 8/10
