Even though the graphics inevitably disappoint at first glance, the game starts to grow on you if you give it a chance. There's no doubt that the Wii controls are the star of this show. Yes, it takes a while to find the most suitable settings for you, but once locked in, you're set to have an incredible time despite all of the game's short comings. Aiming, shooting, reloading, leaning, zooming, melee, crouching, throwing grenades, etc.. It all feels natural. It's not only the basics, but also the additional controls for stationary weapons and other equipment. The bazooka the machine-gun turret, the artillery, the mortar, the radio fine tuning...

Even though the graphics during the game are not so attracting, the overall quality of the presentation throughout the game is top notch. Menu graphics, and design, mission briefings and voice-overs, music... It's all really well done.

One other cool thing about this game is that although the Wii does not have the "achievements" system built-into the platform, the game manages to provide you with a very similar mechanic that makes it even more fun to go out of your way to accomplish more than just the required tasks during the game. You get rewards for killing 50 or more enemies with each weapon. You get rewards for completing secondary objectives. You get rewards for not dying once in certain difficulty levels, etc.

I would recommend renting this game first to see if you'll like it or not. Play it for a few hours. See if it feels right. Customize the controls. Play online. Play the arcade mode. Win some of the rewards. Play at veteran level. If you like the world war two genre shooters, there are a lot of reasons why you'll want to keep the game. Yet there's a chance that you may not be able to get into the whole deadzone thing soon enough. Yes the graphics are dull. Yes the campaign tends to become repetitive. However, if you liked the controls of Metroid Prime Corruption, there's no way you will not love this game.

I think the story mode was strange don't think it actualy happend kinda a first a WW2 shooter that isn't historical. the online is fun but i cant tell you how many times i wanted to snap my controller cause of how bad it can be. it can take 8 shotgun shells at close range to kill some one or just 1. sniping is just bad cause if someone sees you are dead cause you cant move when zoomed in.

This game is just another quick exploit of WWII. The only thing that sets this game apart from Call of Duty 3 is the online multiplayer.

The good: Smooth controls, online multiplayer.

The bad: Idiotic computer AI(team and enemy), no collision detection (you can walk through opponents), too short, and no Split screen multiplayer.

Bottom line: If you are a serious WWII buff, or just HAVE to play your wii online, then check it out. Otherwise, I found COD3 to be a much better game.
